EN-/DIN-Materials Databases (FEZEN)

The materials database FEZEN contains the material properties for metallic materials for standardized materials acc. DIN- and EN-Material-Codes/Standards:

  • app. 700 material sheets with materials reference data based mainly on standard data of the DIN codes, but also on data of VdTÜV or SEW sheets. Material data deviating from the above standards (revaluation or devaluation) are taken into account in line with the AD-2000 and TRD codes, however.
  • app. 1750 materials sheets materials reference data based on standard data of the EN material codes. Material data deviating from the above standards (revaluation or devaluation) are taken into account in line with EN 12952, EN 13480, EN 13445 and the AD-2000 and TRD codes, however

This EN-/DIN-Database is used as well by all PROBAD-solutions acc. EN-solutions as EN 12952, EN 13480 and EN 13445, and also the national German code solutions (AD-2000, TRD) and as by WRC 107, WRC 297 for the internal determination of the relevant material values. Therefore these EN-/DIN-Databases should be taken as part of the license together with the PROBAD calculation solutions form SIGMA Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH ©.

Additionally a comparison of the new European material names according to EN 10027 and the old designations according to DIN 17006 and 17007 is available.

The materials database FEZEN is revised permanently by SIGMA Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH ©. Each year a new release with the newest strength values will be updates.

 

FEZEN Information System for EN- and DIN-Materials

The PROBAD solution "FEZEN-Information system" permits an interactive use of the materials databases for the EN- and DIN-materials, also independent from the calculations with the PROBAD solutions. Herewith the Material Sheets can be printed or the material properties can be called, single or all values.

For the stored materials the following information can be calculated and displayed:

  • material properties (tensile strength, yield strength or proof stress values, creep strength values, etc.), and physical properties,
  • allowable stresses, maximum allowable temperatures and life-time values ​​as a function of temperature, dimensional specifications, etc. for the items.

 

ASME-Materials Database

The PROBAD solutions based on the ASME codes (ASME Sect. I., ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ASME Sect. VIII.) is linked to a materials database with approximately 900 ASME steels. Alternatively, either the allowable stresses or the stress values can be defined for a material on the input panels.

The ASME-materials database can be evaluated via an Interface-program in form of a DLL by customer’s specific programs. Each year a new release with the newest strength values will be updates.

 

DLL-Interface solutions for the Materials Databases EN, DIN und ASME

The materials databases for EN- DIN- and ASME-materials can be integrated via an interface-program in form of a DLL by customer‘s specific programs and allows the evaluated material data.
